LCSD has excellence in teaching—and that includes making learning unforgettable!
At Assumption Jr/Sr High School, Amanda Grievson led Science 8 students through a hands-on activity exploring the full process of the digestive system. It got a little messy, but students were fully engaged throughout. A memorable experience they won’t forget anytime soon!

Our Grade 7 students got up close with flowers in a hands-on dissection lab! Using lilies, students carefully examined and identified the different parts of a flower, connecting each structure to its role in the plant’s life cycle. From stamens to pistils, they explored how flowers are adapted for reproduction and survival in their environment. Learning science is always more fun when you can see it in action! 🌼✨ #FlowerDissection #HandsOnScience #STEM

Check out the Pickleball opportunity! Open to all students in the Lakeland Area!

We are excited to walk alongside our students as they begin their high school journey!

A group of students powered through their circuit training in Phy. Ed today, tackling stations like Spiderman planks, squats, lunges, V-sit sit-ups, and running. They worked hard for 45 seconds, rested for 30, and pushed each other through wall sits, burpees, and other fun challenges. The energy was high as they built strength and endurance together.
