
Afternoon Transportation Update: All LCSD Buses Running
Good news! All LCSD buses will be running as scheduled for the afternoon.


AJSH Senior Boys travelled to compete in the 41st Annual Father Troy Basketball Tournament. This is one of the last Catholic only Basketball Tournaments in the Province, bringing Catholic Schools together from all over the province to share in Father Troy's vision of Catholic Education and Sport.






AJSH Ski Trip reminder!


This past weekend the JV Girls Basketball team won the JV Classic in Bonnyville. They all played well and demonstrated the Crusader Code in their actions on and off the court. Way to go Crusaders! 🏀


All school buses are cancelled this morning, but schools remain open, and classroom learning continues. Please prioritize safety on your way to school.


Today, French Immersion students from AJSH embarked on adventures all around beautiful Old Montreal. From the Montreal Science Centre, to underground malls, to the Planetarium to see exo planets and a stop at "Cabane à Sucre", the students are immersed in culture and hands on learning!







Assumption School has decided to join the local "Building Better Futures" campaign to address the escalating crisis of domestic violence. Our Lenten project this year is to help the Stepping Stones Crisis Society provide safe shelter, support services and affordable housing. The school will be hosting fundraisers until the end of the Lenten season, with all proceeds going to this cause.
We are kicking things off a little early by selling heart shaped pop-it keychains this week for $2.
"Pop" by the office to see Mrs. Depner if you want to purchase one.


French Immersion students from AJSH attended French Mass at L'Oratoire Saint-Joseph, the largest church in Canada.



Students from AJSH are enjoying a guided tour of the Château Frontenac and Old Quebec. Next stop....Montreal!

Assumption students in grade 9 got to spend the day with NET Canada, a team of young adults sharing their faith in schools and churches . Their mission is to challenge young catholics to love Christ and embrace the life of the Church.

We would like to thank Dani Moore , CLFN School Liaison, for organizing a ribbon skirt making workshop at our school. last week. The finished products were magnificent! These five students have subsequently been invited to a Concho Belt Making Workshop at the Cold Lake First Nations Band Office on February 20th, to further build upon their cultural learning experience.






Thank you Mieke and Annelia for teaching us about South Africa and sharing your delicious Milk Tarts with us. They tasted like little clouds of heaven!
