Morgan Murray attended Lakeland Catholic Schools in Bonnyville from Kindergarten to Grade 12! Morgan is now teaching at Assumption Jr/Sr High School!

Coming back to teach, I am teaching with colleagues who were my teachers at one point, and teaching students whose parents I know… growing up in a Catholic school gave me the ability to experience God and experience the values of being a Christian. Assumption Christmas concerts will take place on Wednesday, December 13th. The 5:00 concert will feature our Gr. 7, Gr. 9, and Senior bands and our 7:00 concert will feature our Gr. 8, Gr. 9 and Senior bands.

Megan spent her entire elementary, middle, and high school years attending Lakeland Catholic Schools in Cold Lake! Now, she works as the Human Resources Secretary and SIS Assistant at our Central Office!

Elaine Ernst!
Graduate and now Principal at Assumption Jr/Sr High, Elaine is often quoted saying "I bleed blue."
"The reason I became a teacher is because I always enjoyed school and my time as a student at Assumption School. It is such a joy now to be able to work at the school I once attended. I've been able to work alongside some of my former teachers and now have the pleasure of working with some of my former students. It really is amazing to see all of the former Lakeland Catholic alumni that have been called to teaching in our communities."

Our first From Student to Teacher feature is... Lynne Vining!
Lynne was a student at Lakeland Catholic Schools from Kindergarten to her graduation in 1991! She came back to teach at LCSD "because I had a great experience as a student in the division and wanted to make a positive impact in the same way that many of my teachers had on me when I was growing up."
In addition to teaching Career and Life Management and working as Academic and Career Advisor, she oversees all experiential learning programming at Assumption Jr/Sr High School!

Tomorrow, AJSH will host a Remembrance Day Liturgy starting at 9:15 in our gymnasium. There will be a special guest speaker and the senior band will be performing. Parents are welcome to join us for this special ceremony.

Cosmetology students participated in a Halloween hairstyling competition last week. Grades 9-12 students created their unique looks, which were judged by staff and students.
Prizes were awarded for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place in each class, as well as an overall 1st and 2nd prize. Thank you to Kix Beauty & Barber for the generous prize donations and to all that made it a hair-raising success!
