In honor of the National Day of Truth and Reconciliation, staff and students at Assumption School decorated over 700 feathers to create a display for our hallways. A cross of remembrance and wings of hope are displayed proudly at the entrance to our cafetorium.
While creating their piece of art, students were asked to reflect on the experiences of the over 150, 000 students who attended residential schools in the past, many of whom never returned home. A special thank you to Mrs. Noseworthy and her class for piecing this together.

Dear Parents/Guardians,
The safety of our students is our top priority. Due to today’s weather, the planned bike race has been canceled. Trail conditions, extreme winds, and lack of shelter pose safety risks. For questions, please contact your child’s school.

MOUNTAIN BIKE RACE CANCELLED!
Due to very high winds, and potential safety issues with trees falling, the organizers have decided to cancel the race today.

Over 70 AJSH students stepped up tonight to help raise money for families in need! Thanks to the generous donations of local community members, they will be able to restock the shelves at the food bank AND present them with a cheque for $2372.15!!
They are still hoping to hit their mark of $3000. If you want to support them with this goal, please let us know.

Saturday morning, a group of enthusiastic students gathered at the local bike park in Cold Lake for mountain bike practice. Laughter filled the air as they encouraged each other and enjoyed riding together. What great team bonding!!! AJSH’s crusaders are ready to tackle the upcoming race!!!
