During Catholic Education Week, students at AJSH were learning all about Catholic symbols. Through this beautiful art piece, created by students and stitched together by Mrs. Parker, students depicted our united school community, a community of faith, serving God and each other.

Students from Assumption school went on a "Religions of the World" tour yesterday in Edmonton. They visited Al Rashid Mosque, Sacred Heart Church and Chin Yin Buddhist Temple, where dynamic faith leaders shared the rich history of each of their faith communities while drawing on similarities to our Catholic teachings.

Lisa's presentation addressed many of the challenges faced by adolescent newcomers to Canada. Our ESL class thanked Lisa for the in depth information she shared and for helping them better understand post-secondary prerequisites, pathways and possibilities!
